I first came across this shoe trend scrolling through Instagram, and the below images showed up

Luckily looking throughout my shoe bin I found that I already owned two pairs of ankle strap heels thanks to a sample sale earlier that year. If you do not come across any in your wardrobe do not fret, there are plenty of brands with varying price-points that carry this style.

The second key part of the look is choosing the right pair of pants. You cannot wear a full on skinny pant, but also do not want something too baggy as the tie will get lost in the bunch of the pants.

Ideally, throw some color into this look! The contrast in the images above really help show the emphasis on these ankle straps.

We chose Soho as a the shooting location so that the details of the shoes would not get lost in the sea of people on the streets of New York. The chic cobblestones were a refreshing change from tar streets, and pillars to hop on allowed me to kick that leg in the air and show off these ankles.

Feel free to do whatever you want with the rest of the look. From minimalist nude pieces, to bright colored puff shirts, there is not just one uniform. If I were to do this look over again, I would have added some leather pants or one more pop of color.
