After a full day of seeing the town of Olympia, it was great to have a relaxing night in with some wine and a scenic view. We stayed at the Olympion Asty. Once the sun started to set, it was the perfect ending to the day. There were no loud city cars, people, or even stray animals to bother us.

The pool looked beautiful, but in reality it was ice cold. A few family members were brave enough to take a quick plunge in. I watched with a laugh as I saw their faces after their skin hit the water. We later cozied up to the fire inside and got to learn a little more about our tour guide and how her love for history led her to take this job.

Although this was one of my favorite spots, you could never quite settle in. Our morning itinerary was to get up and moving again on the bus as we were to explore Meteora and Kalambaka.
