Layover in Amsterdam

05/16/2020 0 Comments

Before our 9 day travels were to begin across Greece, we had a layover in Amsterdam. I had flown in the day before from JFK to MSP to meet p with my family. From MSP we flew over 6,000 kilometers and over 10 hours to the Amsterdam Airport: Schiphol. I tried to sleep to pass the time and knowing we would need to be up for the next 24 hours, but nerves, excitement, and the noise of the passengers prohibited me from doing so.

Although the layover was limiting our time to explore this Country to less than 8 hours, that was plenty considering the schedule ahead of us.

Upon taking time to explore Amsterdam, we all went on a Canal Cruise Tour. I highly recommend this especially if the weather is lacking sunshine. You are covered and comfortable under the boats roof. The weather was a bit gloomy for us, but between the boat, a gourmet meal, and going in and out of shops, we did not mind.

Although you can find souvenirs with Marijuana leaves on them just about everywhere, and edibles are legal don’t go buying random drugs off the street!
