Her Campus is not only a website, but also a community for women. You can find articles that contain information on anything from health and wellness, beauty, fitness, academics, politics, volunteering, you name it.

The Her Conference had a handful of accomplished women speakers, entrepreneurs, and even an Olympic athlete Michelle Carter.
The Agenda for the day included: we had to get there by 7:30am to get in line!)
Navigating the media industry: Where to start and how to work your way up; Working with a purpose: Inside careers in Government + Social Impact; X, UI + More Breaking into a Career in Tech; Lights Camera, Action: Careers in TV, Broadcast + Video; Side Hustle Life: How to pursue your Passions in your spare time; Turn your social media obsession into your full time job; A Fireside chat with Cara Santana; A Fireside chat with Amber Tamblyn; By your own Boss; Young entrepreneurs and how to make it happen; How to write your own book; Insiders spill; what it’s really like to have a career in Marketing and PR; A Fireside chat with Jessica Marie Garcia; XOXO Cocktail hour.

During the opening welcome, they had everyone raise their hands who had traveled out of state to be there that day. About 80% of the room raised their hands. This really surprised me as a majority of NYC events that I attend are attended by people who live within an hour or bordering states. It was also an aha! moment when I saw one of the Her Campus founders Windsor Western come up and speak as I had just seen her with her husband and daughter at the Rose Mansion the night before.
The entire day was very empowering, uplifting and filled with activities from various vendors. My favorite station was Mary Kay. They had make-up artists completing makeovers. You also were able to get a personalized eyeshadow pallet. These pallets are customizable on their website. Other sponsors included Crayola making “Goal Digger” organizers, XOXO with custom shirts, Go Daddy selfies, A blow out hair bar from Bumble, and Extra Gum with a truck filled with foam cubes.
I highly recommend joining the community!
