Nobu is a New York and California staple when it comes to fine dining. You can also find Nobu throughout the U.S. and Europe. In New York we went to the Downtown location in the Financial District. (It is not the easiest to find. Look for the gold building and the Nobu sign, although it initially looks like it is in the same building as Anthropology.

Bethany had invited us to have dinner at Nobu, drinks at her place, and then we would head over to LAVO NYC to see Steve Aoki DJ Live. Perfect night? I think yes. Lavo is both an Italian Restaurant and a Nightclub. The best nights to go are Thursday-Sunday. I have never been to one of their Champagne brunches, but that is on my to-do list. Speaking of Steve Aoki and Japanese cuisine, fun fact did you know that Steve Aoki’s Dad started Benihana! I learned this fun fact courtesy of Comments by Celebs and one of their deep dives.

So, back to Nobu. Is the food worth the Google four dollar sign $$$$ price tag? I am a seafood lover, and hands down everything was delicious. From the dark downstairs ambiance, to the 5 star service, beautifully plated food, each bite was more savory than the last. My favorite had to be a tie between the lobster and the scallops.

Steve Aoki was amazing per usual, and we had way too much fun with bottle service as you can see with my slightly wet jumpsuit.
