OPI Pop Up: Passport to Color

img_5992Nails, you either love them or ignore them.

Nails can make a dent in the monthly budget, so I am always looking for a polish that I can trust. Although acrylic nails always result in optimal full-color coverage and a long nail, life becomes a little more challenging with long nails. From lotion getting stuck in your nails to the annoying clicking sound on keyboards, and there is always the possibility of one breaking off. Therefore, my acrylic nail obsession has taken a halt for the last year with my nails needing some time to breathe. (Literally, as they can start to accumulate mold on your nails–it happened to a friend).

The OPI Pop Up came across my radar through Influenster. This pop up was all about colors around the world with “Passport to Color”, showcasing the new Peru color line. This color line has beautiful shades of pinks, browns, and purples.

Some of my favorite nail color shade names: Alpaca my bags, Grandma Kissed a Gaucho, My Solar Clock is Ticking, and Yes My Condor Can-do!

What lured us in was the opportunity to get your nails, hair, and or makeup done. If you purchased an OPI polish off of Amazon, you were able to get the services done for free and get a goody bag at the end. My nails were already done, so I got my hair curled and makeup touched up with Stila Cosmetics. They had an excellent selection of eye glitter. I went with the gold Glitter & Glow Eyeshadow.

Photo Ops included a floral backdrop, various props, and a Peru inspired area with beautiful rugs and seated cushions. I even made their Instagram!
