Pod 39

Imagine walking into a rustic room with green accented large windows, a window seat with bright turquoise upholstery, beautiful wicker chairs, and green accented chandeliers. Pod 39 takes you away from New York with their rooftop bar. Upon stepping in, you will immediately feel as if you just took a trip to Spain.

If you are looking for a cute hotel in Midtown, Pod 39 is an adorable and affordable option. The rooftop takes you to a whole new world, literally!

The name of  Pod 39 comes from the pod-style rooms. They take minimalism to a whole new level.

I had been here once before on a “Summer Friday” (where we get out of work at 1:00pm), so we were able to snag pics before the rooftop bar opened. To my dismay, that day I had on an outfit that was the opposite of cute. Coming back to the pod this time around, I had on the correct outfit for the scenery. But… we got there on a beautiful day closer to 3:00pm, and the place was already packed! I did not get my cute window shot standing on the side of the rooftop, but I was able to make do with people standing in every inch of the rooftop. The other half of the roof was also roped off for a private event, so this made things even more smooshy.

My Look:

My entire outfit is from Ann Taylor. This dress I absolutely adore with the color blocking at the bottom. It very much matches the color wheel of the fabric throughout the indoor portion of the roof, and contrasts against the black and white stripes of the tented roof above the bar. These heels I fell in love with due to the ruffle detailing, and the straps that tie up your ankle. I found both of these at our Sample Sale at work.
