Madame Tussauds Wax Museum NYC | Pose With Your Favorite Celebrities Starstruck Free

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

Over 350 hours, 150 face measurements, and 250 body measurements are how intricate each wax figure is according to Madame Tussauds Wax Facts. These are not just made overnight with a 3D printer! Each figure is made in London, and then transported to the united states for it’s final destination. The most amazing thing to me was learning that each strand of hair is put in individually! This process takes up to 5 weeks.

If you are ever dying to get a photo with your favorite celebrity, professional athlete, socialite, royal, or historic figure, just go see them in wax form. What are the odds that you end up seeing them in real life aside from miles away in a crowd? The odds are pretty slim, and this is about as real as it gets to getting a side by side photo. Everyone is courteous and waits in line to take their photo with the wax figure of choice, so do not worry about photo-bombers.

Tips: Outside people will have coupons, but if you want to see the whole exhibit you might as well just upgrade and skip the coupon. The entire museum is also pretty chilly, so make sure you have a jacket.

For some of the wax figures I thought it was crazy to see how little they actually look like the celebrity considering how many measurements they do. For example Kim K, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake do not resemble their wax figures in my eyes. It is entertaining to see the height of all of the figures, the Queen of England is a lot taller than I thought!

My favorite wax figure: Anna Wintour. It did resemble her pretty closely, the hair just looked a little too wig-like and shiny.
