Con Body
Saks Fifth Avenue and an ex-con does not sound like the correct match, right? Well, wrong! Why did Saks take on a new business partnership with an ex con? Con Body came to Lord & Taylor’s corporate offices to show us what this workout was all about.
From 6 Years in Prison to the CEO of @conbody Coss Marte was over 230 pounds and turned prison into a gym… the workouts aren’t easy! But, @aramirez44 and I won the challenge 💪🏼 Thank you @lordandtaylor
Saks Fifth Avenue’s Wellness Center in NYC took on Con Body as a fitness class you can take. What is Con Body? Well, it is exactly as it sounds. A workout regime that can be completed in Prison. A prison cell is pretty small, so you must get creative. Cos Marte ended up in prison because he was caught drug dealing. He was overweight at 230 pounds, and doctors told him he needed to shed some weight or the future did not look great for his health. After he got out Cos dropped a significant amount of weight, and wanted to share his fitness techniques with others. Countless places would not approve him owning real estate for the Con Body business model. But, Saks gave him a chance!
The workout was only 30 minutes long and was killer! It was all done without weights or mats.
