When your Purse is Everythinggggg
Walking throughout Soho, Herald Square, and 5th Ave, you can quickly come to see a lot of similarities in the window displays. Because of this I love to have an accessory that no one else has. Something that will make people take a second look when walking around.
This boxy dainty gold purse is the perfect unique item. I have always been a gold accent over silver accent girl, and the fashionista face (that mirrors Iris Apfel’s signature look) also drew me in. This bag is from Chic Wishlist, which has an amazing insider program! Along with a handful of unique bags, I loved that this bag has three different looks to choose from.
The bag is very girly, therefore why I chose a shimmery girly look. With the puff sleeve trend, also comes the pleated puff shoulder style which I have absolutely fallen in love with! I can picture learning about this sleeve type in one of my Softlines Analysis Courses.
To be technical this sleeve is #2 Leg of Mutton:
Although the shirt does bring in a hint of color and a sense of shine, I also thought this look needed something more. The blue taffeta skirt is a pop of just enough color, and the ruffles compliment the sleeves.
Both the top and skirt are Miss Selfridge from Lord and Taylor. The sun was out but just barely! So I threw on some black tights and black booties by Saks Fifth Avenue.
