Do you ever find yourself buying more lipsticks, lip glosses, chapsticks, lip stains, etc. when you know you have a handful at home? That is ME. I always get mad at myself knowing I do not necessarily need a new lip product. So why do we always do this to ourselves and buy more? Because we have not found THE one. The lip product that will become the the one and only. The shade and number that you memorize and cry for when it becomes discontinued. The one product that stays on, never dries out your lips, and compliments almost every outfit.

For me this was the Laura Mercier Velour in shade Dominate. Red lipsticks are always tricky for me because they always end up on my teeth. The word “long wear” is not always promising. The higher price tag does not always ensure lipstick stability either.

Pink: Ruthless

I loved this velour extreme lip from Laura Mercier! The color went on so smoothly, and has amazing pigment. I also spent the entire day out in the snow, and did not feel like my lips were drying out in anyway. I love light pink shades, and this one surprised me as it looked like a totally different shade on my lips vs on the cap. Never forget to swatch before buying something!
