A thanksgiving outfit needs to be both functional and comfortable. With all the food around, who wants a skin tight dress or pants? Not many. But at the same time you do not want to drown yourself in a baggy sweater or dress.
What you need: A Large Sweater
I chose this English Factory Sweater for under $50.00. The ruffle detailing and stripes give it a fashion-forward feel. The waistband helps to bring the sweater in, but still allows you to breath in the mid section
I loved it so much I got it in both colors! $44.99 Saks OFF Fifth
Second: Find a textured skirt, and a belt
I did not want to add a polyester or cotton skirt because it would end up looking too casual with the sweater. Even a jean skirt, was giving me too much of a casual friday feel. I went with a leather skirt to help dress-up the ensemble.
Finally: A belt to help tie the look together
I had been seeing this western style belt all over, and wanted to give it a try myself. For $19.97 it was a steal. I love the double buckle aspect to it. I fastened it just tight enough to stay on my waist, but not too tight that I felt restricted in any way. This is serving as an accessory over a practical item.
Belt: Vince Camuto
To add a little holiday flare, the turkey hat was the hit of the night. It is simple, one size fits all, and perfect for the day!
