From crop tops to bralettes, showing off some stomach has become a staple trend in fast fashion. This trend is open to all: no matter your height, size, or weight. There’s no need to be a super model as a prerequisite.

I’ve really been drawn to bralettes with appliqués on them. I absolutely adore the sheer ones where the appliqué only covers the nipple, but obviously that is not appropriate for out in public. When the time came for a photoshoot in Dumbo, I compromised and got a black silk bralette with rose appliqués. The appliqués helped to add some detail and color to my ensemble.

Why has this trend stuck around? Why are people still buying bralettes when it is only 40 degrees outside? I believe it is because they do not require much thought, and are comfortable! (Well I️t may be a different story if you have a larger set of boobs that need to be supported).
