Retail Myth: That “Black Friday”, the day of crazed shoppers grabbing things left and right in the wee hours of the morning, the day of injuries, and even deaths…that this is the best day to do your after holiday shopping. WRONG! (Aside from higher ticket items like furniture, appliances, and electronics), but for retail clothing items, gifts, and small decorative furniture pieces, there really is not a huge need to shop during precious sleeping hours. Why is this? Cyber deals, and the fact that all retailers need to stay competitive with each other. For example if one department store is starting their pre-black Friday deals on the 21st of November, there is no need for other retailers to wait until Black Friday to start their deals. There is the thrill of shopping in store, but I would wait until Cyber Monday!

The annoying part:Most retailers do not let you “double-dip” with coupons. For example if an item is a Doorbuster, or a promo, the extra coupons that you were emailed or mailed will not work on top of it. A handful of brands such as Underarmour also can be excluded from all coupons as well.
