I’ve accumulated a good amount of shoes over the years. Working retail never helps as I am always finding an amazing deal on a pair of shoes that I talk myself into buying. In Minnesota I had plenty of closet, main room, and under the bed space for my shoes. Here, not so much.
There is not even an extra closet for toiletries or our vacuum this apartment. Sadly shoes are something that you cannot vacuum seal together and save space with, so you must be smart about space allocation with them.
I basically turned half of my bedroom into a closet. I highly recommend this shoe rack from IKEA! It did take hours to install, but it has been worth it. Warning you do screw it into your ceiling so if you have really high ceilings this is not going to work. It is known as the ELVARI Shelf Unit. I love being able to see a wide selection when getting ready. Sadly all my fall and winter shoes are shoved under my bed for now.
Off of Etsy I also got this great Louboutin photo set from a Freelance artist to complete shoe area.
