Make Up For Ever is under LVMH, therefore all the interns were invited to a networking event at their Pro Studio. There are always ups and downs to being an intern. The positive aspect is getting exposure not only to the line of work in which you are interning for, but also throughout the company. LVMH does a great job of allowing all of the interns to get together and mingle across all companies based in NYC.
After a little bit of networking, we sat in on skin routine demo by Fresh, and then a beauty tutorial by a Make Up For Ever Pro Studio artist. Fresh used three main products
- Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner (Which has hand picked rose petals in it!)
- Soy Face Cleanser
- Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask
Out of all three that we have gotten to try, the Soy Face Cleanser is my ultimate favorite. I have very oily skin where acne can easily build up, but all of the natural ingredients in this cleanser have really been making a difference. We have gotten four bottles of it now, and I keep on using it over my previous acrylic acid based washes.
Make Up Forever: Dany Sanz created the company back in 1984. What I think is most amazing about this brand is that it started out as so much more than just make up. It originally was created for the longwear effect of drastic full body make up designs. It has more of an “artist” feel, but some people today when they see it in Sephora, or online may never guess this. That is what I think is amazing is that the brand can appeal to a wide variety of consumers. Their Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation is one of the top selling foundations in the beauty industry. This company also has the widest range of color shades, and will even be bringing in more various darker skin tone shades shortly.
After watching the tutorial from the Make Up For Ever Pro artist my takeaway was: NEVER FORGET TO HYDRATE AND PRIME
Even if you have oily skin you should still make sure the skin is moist even before adding primer! This will make such a difference in how your skin lasts and feels throughout the day.
At the end we got a goody bag. My favorite item from it was the Miss Dior perfume!
